SEPL Awarded CARES Act Mini-Grant

The Seneca East Public Library is pleased to announce we have been awarded a CARES Act Mini-Grant from the State Library of Ohio

The CARES Act Mini-Grant is available to help all types of libraries in Ohio respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stimulus funding for this grant comes to the State Library via LSTA funds from the federal appropriation made to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

Library Reopening

Reopening

SEPL will reopen to the public Monday, June 8, 2020. We are pleased to announce our next stage in reopening. To help ensure the safety of the staff and our patrons, we have modified public areas and changed certain procedures to comply with state and federal guidelines for reopening.

Changes to the Library:
Temporary limited hours: The Library will be open to the general public Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The first hour of each day will be reserved for our senior and vulnerable patrons.

How will curbside service work?

1. Use our online catalog at https://ohio.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/att/, use the SEO Libraries App or call the library to request items for pickup. We will check out available items to you and bag them up.*

2. Come to the front, main entrance of the library and call (or knock) to let us know you are here. We will set your items outside for you to pick up.

June 2, 2021

SEPL is pleased to announce our next stage in reopening in accordance with new state guidelines. The safety of the staff and our patrons remains our top priority.

As of Wednesday, June 2, 2021, material quarantine has been discontinued. Late fines will continue to be waived until further notice.

Facial coverings and social distancing are NO LONGER REQUIRED.

All public computers stations and seating have been restored.

Valentine Basket Winners Announced

The Seneca East Public Library Foundation congratulates the winners of the 2020 Valentine's Basket Raffle Drawing. Becky Allgyre won the children's basket and Dora Graham was the winner of the adult basket.

Proceeds for this year’s raffle will benefit the Attica Area Veterans Memorial Park.

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

We are now accepting entries to our seventh annual Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest. To participate, decorate a pumpkin as your favorite book character using paint, markers, glue, fabric, paper or other craft or household items…be creative! Please no carving or puncturing of pumpkins since they will be on display in the library. Bring your finished pumpkins to the library no later than 8:30 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 and fill out an entry form including your name, age, phone number as well as the character’s name and the book from which it comes.
