We are now accepting entries to our sixth annual Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest. To participate, decorate a pumpkin as your favorite book character using paint, markers, glue, fabric, paper or other craft or household items…be creative! Please no carving or puncturing of pumpkins since they will be on display in the library. Bring your finished pumpkins to the library no later than 8:30 PM on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 and fill out an entry form including your name, age, phone number as well as the character’s name and the book from which it comes. A special guest panel of judges will pick their favorites from four age categories: Age 0 – Preschool, Kindergarten – Grade 5, Grades 6 – 12, and Adult. Winners will be announced at the library Halloween party the following Saturday, October 27th. Top picks in each category will receive a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card!
